Police arrest 38 wanted persons

AT LEAST three top most wanted persons (TMWP) for the 3rd quarter of 2018 and 35 others were arrested by Police Regional Office Cordillera during a two day simultaneo­us operation.

On September 25, 2018, 14 wanted person landed in jail including the second TMWP were arrested in the municipali­ty of Luna, Apayao.

Glen Frank Palagit Jadsac, 34, farmer, was arrested for violation of RA 10591 known as the “Comprehens­ive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act” in his resident at Barangay Aga, Pudtol, Apayao by personnel of Pudtol Municipal Police Station (MPS) and Regional Intelligen­ce Unit - 14 by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Francisco Donato, Regional Trial Court, 2nd Judicial Region, Branch 26, Luna Apayao.

Baguio City Police Office’s Station 7 seventh most wanted person identified as Jeffrey Carandang Mamawag, 31, businessma­n and a resident of Teachers Camp was collared for rape.

Carandang was caught by the personnel of PS 7 - BCPO, Criminal Investigat­ion and Detection Group Baguio, Asingan MPS, Pangasinan Provincial Police Office, Highway Patrol Group -CAR, and Sultan Kudarat MPS at N.E. Pacific, Cabanatuan City by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Renato Gleyo, RTC, Branch 19, Baguio City with no bail recommende­d.

On September 26, 24 wanted persons were also nabbed including the eight most wanted person in Flora, Apayao for grave oral defamation.

The suspect was identified as ‘Wilma’, 45, tailor and a resident of Flora.

‘Wilma’ was arrested in Barangay Bolokan, Sta. Maria, Bulacan by the members of Flora MPS by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Richardson Agbisit of Second Judicial Region, 5th Municipal Circuit Trial Court FloraSta. Marcela, Flora, Apayao with a recommende­d bail of P5,000.

Baguio City’s police had scored the most arrest with 11 followed by Kalinga with 10, Benguet with eight, Apayao with four, Abra and Ifugao with five and Mountain Province with one arrest.
