Laduan elementary school participat­ed in the IPEd summit

AS Benguet province held the 2018 Indigenous Peoples Education (IPEd) Summit, teachers from Laduan Elementary School joined the said activity at the Benguet Sports Center, Wangal, La Trinidad, Benguet last October 8, 2018. Mr. Belmer F. Yano, the Indigenous Peoples Education Consultant, Chairperso­n of the Benguet IPEd Council of Elders Secretary General, Northern Luzon Federation of Council of Elders graced the event with his inspiratio­nal talk. In addition, the winners of the Best TAWID-IPEd Center, Learning Resources (LR) and Story Book Writing were recognized.

During the event, the different districts presented IP Dances & Musical Renditions which included Tallak, Ta y c h e k , Binukaw, Ginatiley, Hagigi and Bindiyan danced by Bakun, Bokod (Karao), Itogon, Buguias, Bokod (Kalanguya) and Kabayan District. Governor Crescensio C. Pacalso and Schools Division Superinten­dent Marie Carolyn V. Verano, CESO IV likewise joined the dancing. Different IP games including 4 X 50 Meter Relay, Yakyak-ing or Jakjakking, tug of war, kadang-kadang and the Bunong Braso were also conducted.
