Abra’s most wanted, arrested

AFTER almost seven years of hiding from the law, the number one top most wanted for the 1st Quarter of 2019 in Abra was finally nabbed in Bucay town.

Personnel of Bucay Municipal Police Station (MPS) arrested Rolando Nelosquin Bernese in his residence at Barangay Layugan, Bucay on January 9 by virtue of a warrant issued by Judge Raphiel Alzate of Regional Trial Court Branch 58 in Bucay for child abuse with recommende­d bail set at P200,000.

Bernese was the prime suspect in abusing a minor in Manabo, Abra sometime in 2012 and remained in hiding in Manila for almost seven years after committing the crime.

A 17 – year – old male was also arrested on January 10 at Barangay Macray, in Bangued town by virtue of a warrant of Arrest issued by Judge Raphiel Alzate of RTC Br 2, Bangued for qualified theft with a bail of P30, 000.

On January 11, personnel of Bangued MPS arrested Freddie Navarro Vasquez a.k.a. Pancho, 38, married, tricycle driver and a resident in Macray, Bangued by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Alzate of RTC Branch 2 for qualified theft with bail amounting to P30,000.

Chief Superinten­dent Rolando Nana, Police Regional Office – Cordillera regional director lauded the personnel of Bucay MPS for the arrest of the top most wanted person and encouraged all units in the region to sustain the operation against wanted persons.
