8 corpse dumped in Tuba
DEAD bodies have been dumped at Sitio Poyopoy, Taloy Sur, Marcos Highway, Tuba, Benguet.
Five cadavers and two skeletal remains were discovered Tuesday afternoon with the eighth, found on Wednesday afternoon was turned over to the crime laboratory to determine the cause of their death.
Retrieval operations were conducted by Tuba Emergency Services, Scene of the Crime Operatives, Tuba Municipal Police Station, Bureau of Fire Protection, Emergency Medical Services and 911 on call.
The cadavers, which
have yet to be identified were dumped in a more than 30 meter ravine from the national highway.
Police Major James Acod, Tuba MPS chief added concern citizens informed police to visit Poyopoy following foul smell emanating from the area where the cadavers were later discovered.
On Tuesday, a farmer and native of Ifugao who reported his missing relative failed to identify and confirm one of the retrieved cadavers.
In the chronological events reported by Tuba MPS,SOCO-Benguet conducted crime processing to the first cadaver believed to be dead for more than two weeks was found with the body bloated and on state of decomposition. The male cadaver was wearing blue maong pants, half naked, wearing stainless, blue black leather bracelet with marking ‘DHL – 31’.
The second cadaver was bloated and on the advance state of decomposition wearing two blue maong pants, Adidas sweatshirt and approximately dead for more than a month.
Moreover, the third cadaver approximately, two weeks dead also in bloated and on state of decomposition sustained multiple puncture wound on the chest with his face unrecognizable. He was 1.65 meters tall wearing black brief, brown pants, H& Y black and white shoes with no upper garments. He had tribal tattoo on his left shoulder, guardians tattoo on the right shoulder, GL tattoo on left hand.
The fourth cadaver was a skeleton remains found with white K Swiss rubber shoes, champion white t-shirt, walker white brief, black maong pants and red belt, pair of white socks, and approximately dead for more than a year.
The fifth cadaver, also skeleton body and approximately dead for more than one year had blue holster brief, blue maong pants wrangler, blue jacket with hood and white Hudson undershirt, three keys with black tag.
The sixth cadaver in bloated and on state of decomposition on the other hand, had wound on the neck and chest wore cadaver tribal gray - tribal lettering, black maong pants, green under armour brief.
The seventh body retrieved in bloated and on state of decomposition was 1.63 meter tall had blue stripped sweatshirt, blue avalnce brief, two silver rings on the middle and ring finger of the right hand, white t-shirt surfing gear page team.
SOCO - Benguet will also conduct DNA tests to the retrieved cadavers on Wednesday.
Last year, hospital wastes were also dumped along Taloy Sur, also in Tuba.
