Mankayan district holds 4th Iyaman
MANKAYAN District held their fourth informing yearly accomplishments, monitoring activities, assessment and networking (Iyaman) at Lepanto in Paco in Makayan, Benguet on Oct. 7.
This activity was attended by all teachers and school heads of both Elementary and Secondary Schools of Mankayan.
Schools division superintendent officer-incharge Benilda Daytaca highlighted the event through her inspiring message concerning the school’s and Department of Education’s (DepEd) employees.
Curriculum implementation division (CID) chief Rizalina Guznian the talked about CID concerns while School governance and operation division (SGOD) chief Lucio Alawas messaged on SGOD matters.
The event was attended also by Mayor Frenzel Ayong and one of his councilors Hon. Hector Gacita.
Iyaman is a DepEd activity informing the concerned offices, stakeholders, local government units (LGUs) about the accomplishments, activities which was assessed and monitored by DepEd personnel and the networking processes in all schools of Mankayan.
It is also a moment to thank all the people in and out the school who in one way or the other extended their help and concern for the benefit of the schools. Behind every success of learning is the people who sacrificed their time, finances and effort for the concern of the learners.
The district’s Iyaman gave awards to deserving citizens. The awardees were municipal mayor Frenzel Ayong , municipal vice mayor Denver Tongacan, municipal bugdet officer Mila Esdio, accountant Remegio Paciteng, treasurer Celia Bognalen, agriculturist Rudy Daculan, Eng. Jonathan Casaldo, Dick Tip-ac (MPO), Digno Valentin (LCR), Mateo Estalin Jr. (DRRM), PMAJ Ceasar Sab-itCOP(Philippine NationalPolice), Donald Daganos(Assessor), Dr. Fabiola Gabriel (Department of Health), Lourdes Marcelino (Department of Social Welfare and Development), Ray Maty I. Gatud (Commission on election), Judge Jonathan Segundo (Municipal Trial Court), Jonilou Sahoy (DILG), FarSoutheast Gold and Resources Incorporated (FSGRI), Lepanto Mining Company, Crescent Mining, Engr. Magellan Bagayao(ISRI), Benguet Electric Cooperative, Small scale Mining, Order of Malta and Parent-Teacher Association President.
The different barangay chairman of Mankayan also received awards in supporting the school activities. They were Tony Ugalde (Balili), Dalion Baygan (Bedbed), Romy Bayanes (Bulalacao), Santiago Sad-ayan (Cabitin), Pedro Dalmacio (Colalo), James Guanso (Guinaong), James Gom-gom-o (Paco), Agosto Dompiles (Suyoc), Mateo Batane (Poblacion), Dennis Mayam-es (Sapid), Eugene Lasquite (Tabio), Agosto Calixto (Taneg).
Best performing schools were also recognized during the Iyaman. For medium category; Mankayan Central School (1st place). For secondary-large category: Lepanto National High School (1st Place), Tabio National High School (2nd place); Search for Best School Learning Resource Center; Elementary Small School Category: Palatong Elementary School (1st place), Colalo Elementary School (2nd place), Cabacab Elementary School (3rd place). For big school category: Lepanto Elementary School (1st place). For secondary full time category: Mankayan National High School (1st place) and for part time category, Lepanto National High School garnered first place. Search for best health implementer: Palatong Elementary School (1st place) and Tabio National High School (1st place). Search for best performing school, for elementary: Palatong Elementary School (1st place) and Cabitin Elementary School (2nd place). For secondary: Lepanto National High School (1st place) and Tabio National High School (2nd place).
Deserving school heads and teachers were also given merit. Search for best performing school head: Meya Miing (Palatong Elementary School).Best performing teachers-elementary category: Andrea Galino (1st place) and Dolly Dapiawen (2nd place). For secondary: Jardson Onio (1st Place) and Decenia Cabacab (2nd place). Best performing multi-grade teacher: Alma Amoy (Bato Elementary School, 1st Place). Best performing science teacher in elementary: Catherine Soliba (Palatong Elementary School, 1st Place) and Assandra Grace Nginsayan (Paco Elementary School, 2nd place). Best performing mathematics teacher; Marieta Gaong (Cabitin Elementary School, 1st place)
The teachers, parents and guests enjoyed this one day affair. Teachers also of different schools far and near had an opportunity greeting each other and enjoy the sumptuous meal donated by the Local Government Unit and Department of Education.
