- Lauren Alimondo Sun*Star Reporter

BENGUET residents no longer need a travel pass when traveling within the province.

Following the Benguet Provincial Inter – Agency Task Force on Covid-19 meeting, and in line with the national government guidelines, only health declaration forms will be required for travel to fulfill monitoring purposes.

Health declaration forms are available in all barangay and municipal halls including checkpoints.

Locally stranded individuals (LSIs) traveling outside the Cordillera Administrative Region are also asked to secure a travel pass and health declaration forms.

Governor Melchor Diclas in his executive order earlier said LSIs are asked to secure medical clearance certification and travel authority issued by the

Philippine National Police.

However, LSIs and residents travelling to other provinces in the Cordillera including Baguio City still needs to secure travel authority from the police.

The LSIs must be neither had contacts with suspect or probable or confirmed Covid-19 case patients, and must complete 14day quarantine based on DOH standards and have a negative test through RT-PCR which is to be twice taken.

Meanwhile, returning OFWs must secure travel authority issued by the joint Task Force-Covid Shield and must have negative RT-PCR result and quarantine certification issued by the health department.

Diclas added all persons are allowed to go out their residences except persons below 21 years old, 60 years old and above, those with immunodeficiency, commodities or other health risks and pregnant women.
