2 Ifugao towns impose selective lockdown
TINOC, Ifugao -- Contact tracing activities are underway to all primary and secondary contacts of the three coronavirus disease (Covid-19) confirmed cases in the municipality and Banaue town.
Tinoc Mayor Samson Benito ordered the temporary lockdown of Sitios Cocoy on July 29-31, and Tupa-an, Poblacion including the municipal building, rural health unit (RHU), and the police station from July 29 to
August 2 for contact tracing purposes. One of the two cases in this town is a police officer.
During the lockdown period, all establishments within 200meters radius from the police station were closed except pharmacies, market hours will be observed between 8:00 to 9:00 in the morning only and quarantine passes will be issued by the Barangay Poblacion to each household.
Issuance of travel documents for vegetable truckers will be shortened from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. only at the tourism office and all patients of the RHU are advised to proceed at the district hospital while municipal officials and employees except front liners will follow a work from home scheme.
“We urge each and every one to stay home. Do not go out if not necessary. We are appealing for your cooperation as we also do our best in taking the lead in keeping our municipality COVID19 free,” Benito stated.
For Banaue, Barangay Viewpoint was placed on temporary lockdown from July 28 until further notice for the tracing of contacts of the town’s second Covid-19 confirmed case.
