PRO – COR raises funds for typhoon victims

SOME P3.4 million were raised by personnel of the Police Regional Office - Cordillera (PROCOR) for the rehabilitation efforts in

Cagayan Valley and Bicol Region.

Broken down per province, Abra Police Provincial Office (PPO) donated P535,910, Apayao PPO with P157,200, Baguio City Police Office - P509,400, Benguet

PPO gave P532,500, Ifugao PPO - P320,200, Kalinga PPO - P405,900 and Mt. Province PPO shared P283,000.

The Regional Mobile Force Battalion ( RMFB) donated P297,500 while personnel from the Regional Head Quarters contributed a total of P249,855 and the Regional Support Unit who contributed P116,410.

In a low key ceremonial turn- over at Kalinga PPO grounds, the collected funds in the form of cheque amounting P2,040,000 was personally handed by PRO – COR regional director Police Brigadier General R’win Pagkalinawan to Police Brigadier General Edgar Cagayan, deputy regional director for Administration of PRO-2.

Coordination is currently underway with Police Regional Office 5 (PRO5) for the turnover of P1,367,875 as cash assistance of PRO
