Total lockdown in Tinglayan, Kalinga

THE MUNICIPALI­TY of Tinglayan, Kalinga is now under lockdown from December 7 to 21, 2020.

Tinglayan Mayor Sacrament Gumilab on Sunday issued an executive order placing the municipali­ty under ‘to-or’ or a community quarantine.

Gumilab ordered the lockdown after receiving reports of Coronaviru­s disease (Covid – 19) surge in Barangays Bangad, Lower Bangad, Centro Bangad and Upper Bangad. The mayor also noted an increase of cases in Barangay Poblacion.

Gumilab also noted that even key officials and employees of the Tinglayan Local Government Unit ( LGU) were hit by the virus.

According to the mayor, the municipali­ty already has a total of 98 cases since November 16, 2020 and is continuous­ly increasing in a very fast case.
