Mining firm donates laptops to Ampucao NHS

IN support to DepEd’s Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan (BE-LCP) in the new normal, the Philex Mining Corporatio­n, a gold-producing mining company located at Camp 3 in Tuba, Benguet donated 21 units of Acer laptops to Ampucao National High School through the endorsemen­t of Ampucao barangay council.

The laptops amounting to P735,000 were officially turned over by the company’s community relations officer Engr. Aurora Dolipas trough AmpucaoPun­ong Barangay Eddie Amuasen to the school principal Isabel Aquino through a short meeting last Nov. 23 at the Ampucao Barangay Hall.

School principal Isabel Aquino said they are forever grateful to the company for having granted their request which was supported and endorsed by the Ampucao barangay council. She also added that the laptops can greatly help teachers work from home as they record assessment results and develop activity sheets and learning modules.

Faculty member Benjamin Sacla also said that the laptops can be of use for online interactio­ns with learners especially when they are required to accomplish and submit requiremen­ts in heavy files via e-mail or messenger.

Based on school files, the company has been granting other important requests of the school especially those that concern the welfare of the learners in general.
