German truck and bus maker MAN, short for Maschinenfabrik Augsburg Nurnberg, has opened a branch in Northern Mindanao. Brought to the country by the MAN Automotive Concessionaires Corporation (MACC), the branch opened last July 23 at Yorman Compound, Igpit Diversion Road, Opol town, Misamis Oriental.

The cutting of ribbon was done by prominent business personalities, namely; Almita Dasmariñas Barug, Papoose Olizon, George Gordiel, Ating Co, Alex Chang, and MACC Managing Director Ferdie Lu.

“Our purpose of establishing a branch in Cagayan De Oro City is a sign of our commitment to serve our clients here and other parts of Mindanao,” said by Ferdie Lu

“We’re also trying to give our government clients high quality vehicles. We want to give all our clients the complete MAN experience,” Lu added.

Although long favored by truckers, MAN wants to be closer to its clients and this CDO branch is the first in Northern Mindanao and in the whole of Mindanao as well.

“The prices vary because we have two series of trucks, namely, TGS that comes from Germany, and CLA that is made in India and the price varies depending on the kind of trucks our clients prefer,” Lu said.

The first one is technically more advanced and the latter is more simple; but both trucks demonstrates excellent fuel economy while delivering more power for both on-road and off road range mobility.

MAN also offers buses with top of the line components, including those pertaining to safety and comfort similar to its truck models.

“One of our clients conducted a torture test on out truck running for five days nonstop not shutting off the engine without any problem. That is quality and durability.” MAN’s Tony Olizon said.

With the opening, the company is offering a one month promo discount of P100, 000 pesos. Interested clients may now visit their branch to know more about their trucks and buses and after sale parts and service.
