Juliene has vowed to institutionalize this tournament like the Thirsty Cup in Cebu which has been ongoing every February for more than 20 years now. (l.biantan@gmail. com)

IGNORANT football trolls who pretend to know everything about Philippine football abound in the social media.

They disguised themselves as football fans who have every right to bash anyone who they do think do not conform to their opinions about the beautiful game in our country.

Among the victims of their vile bashing are the officials and members of the men’s Philippine National team which is now competing in Chinese Taipei in a four team invitational tournament.

They bash about everything, the team composition, the coaching staff, the team manager and and then they say that they have every right because they are fans. Of course they have every right.

But before bashing, Do they know the real story behind why coach Dooley is not coaching team? Do they know why Davao Aguilas is financing the team? Do they know why some players are in the line-up and while others are not?

There is only one reason for this. Jealousy or Filipino crab mentality.

An FB post which has caught my attention. FEU downs NU, 5-0, in the UAAP high school tournament. The thread goes on that the FEU team downs the NU team which represented the team in the national U19 team which competed abroad last June.

Then the trolls started to bash the NU coach without even knowing the real story. The story is too long to write in a limited space. But if someone is interested you can p.m. me on my FB account.

This post is synonymous to Fake News. I love Fake News, it reveals who are my stupid and ignorant friends in social media.

These ignorant and stupid trolls should play, coach and finance the national team. (l.biantan@ gmail.com)
