FORMER SAP BONG GO AND VG JOEY G. PELAEZ SUPPORT NEGOSYO SA BARANGAY TO COMBAT POVERTY
VICE GOVERNOR JOEY G. PELAEZ, a Go Negosyo Advocate, recently invited FORMER SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT BONG GO to the 6th Negosyo sa Barangay Entrepreneurship Development Training which was held at the Royal Mandaya Hotel, Davao City. They were pleased to see the efforts that are being poured by the national government and the private sector for the development of community-based enterprises to improve the lives in the barangays. Former SAP Go said that community-based enterprises play a crucial role in strengthening local economies by generating jobs and providing income to the people. Vice Governor Pelaez on his part said that community-based enterprises greatly differ from private enterprises as the former’s business activity is undertaken as a means of achieving community benefit and not just private gain. Establishing sufficient community-based enterprises in the barangays, he added, is an effective way to combat poverty.
The training was organized by Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship and Go Negosyo Founder JOEY CONCEPCION and long-time Go Negosyo Advocate VG Pelaez.
Also present in the activity were DTI Undersecretary IRENEO VIZMONTE, MR. ALLAN BACHO of DTI-PTTC, Negosyo sa Barangay Lead Facilitator MS. ELIZABETH MANUEL, MS. SOPHIA RAMOS of the PCE-Go Negosyo, and Sitsirya Sari-Sari Inc. President EUFRACIO OCAMPO.
