Oca pleads not guilty to graft

City Mayor Gover­nor Os­car Moreno pleaded not guilty dur­ing his ar­raign­ment yesterday for his 13 graft cases be­fore the Sandi­gan­bayan.

Lawyer Dale Mor­deno, the mayor’s le­gal coun­sel said these graft cases pertains to Moreno’s in­volve­ment in the lease of heavy equip­ment with­out pub­lic bid­ding when he was still gover­nor of Misamis Ori­en­tal.

“This is all of Mayor Moreno’s capi­tol cases, he was ar­raigned for his 13 cases, while the other 7 cases were ar­raigned last month,” Mor­deno said.

“This ar­raign­ment is just con­tin­u­a­tion of the ar­raign­ment of the capi­tol cases, wala man gud nadun­gan,” he added.

Last month, the Sandi­gan­bayan 2nd Divi­son held its ar­raign­ment here in the city.

The 2nd Divi­sion is com­posed of Jus­tice Lorifel Pahinma, act­ing chair; Jus­tices Bayani Jac­into and Kevin Narce Vivero, mem­bers.
