NFA assures enough supply of rice

AN official of the National Food Authority-Misamis Oriental, on Monday during the regular session of the 18th city council, assured city officials that there is enough supply of rice in the city.

Her statement was made in answer to the question of Councilor George S. Goking, chair of the City Council committee on trade and commerce, as to how long NFA can supply rice in the market.

She added that as of now the supply is enough and can sustain the volume of demand and they are also working for audit of the supply so they can prepare before the stock runs out.

During the regular session of the City Council yesterday, legislators invited representatives of the Department of Trade and Industry and of the National Food Authority (NFA) on the issue of Suggested Retail Price (SRP) of rice and other commodities. (SP/APD)
