CTO asks biz owners to renew permits early

-

The City Treasurer’s Office hopes that there will be no more extensions of the business permit renewal and that all of the 27,000 businesses will make it on the January 21 deadline.

Divina Dablio, Acting City Treasurer for Administration said, so far, its office has not recommended for any extensions and the last day of renewal is still on January 21.

Dablio said in the past, there were extensions due to the typhoons and floods that affected the business sector.

But towards the end of 2018, the weather has been good which means there will be no excuses this time.

The treasurer’s office warned that late filers shall face a 25 percent surcharge and 2 percent interest every month in their payables.

Dablio said they have opened a Business OneStop Shop at the City Hall, open from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. during the whole week.

Aside from the one stop shop at the city hall, the city also launched a satellite business registration centers in SM Downtown Premier and SM City Uptown for a comfortable experience for the businessmen.

Online payment

services is also made available, particularly tax billing and business tax payment, which can be accessed through the www.cagayandeoro.gov.ph.

The online service is part of the city’s efforts to make Cagayan de Oro known as a business-friendly city. PJ Orias
