The Warrior Magazine: Who says engineering students can’t write?

...Much less put out a publication of their own?

But write they did, and publish they did – and now the Xavier University Association of Engineering Students (XU-ACES) is proud to announce that last January 8 they’ve just released a nice little publication called The Warrior. It’s named after the College of Engineering’s mascot, who sometimes takes the form of a tribal spearman and sometimes an Indian brave.

It doesn’t matter what form he takes really, as long as he’s tough, intimidating, and most of all triumphant: the College of Engineering has emerged the champion of the Xavier University college intramural games for 5 years in a row now. That was last semester, last year – but it would seem that the engineering student publishers are still flush with the mirth from this latest victory that even though this little digest talks about other things, every page seems to cheer “We won again! We won again!”

Compared with the more established Crusader Publication, the Warrior still has a long way to go – but it’s a good start. After all, it’s about time people found out that engineering students aren’t just good at math. Here’s hoping for more Warrior issues to come!
