7 nabbed in separate MisOr police operations

Police arrested five people wanted for different crimes and two men who violated the gun ban in separate police operations in Misamis Oriental.

Opol town police yesterday arrested murder suspect identified as Edgardo Garcia, 66, along Luna street in Cagayan de Oro City, through a manhunt operation by virtue of an arrest warrant.

The suspect is detained at the Opol jail facility and will be turned-over to the issuing court for proper dispositio­n.

On the other hand, members of the Jasaan town police served the arrest warrant against a wanted person identified as Saldy Rabadon, 37. for the crime of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide in Villanueva town.

Meanwhile, police operatives of Villanueva town arrested number three most wanted person on their list identified as Jefie Buray, 31 in Poblacion, Villanueva last February 1.

The suspect has been wanted for murder charges.

Last Monday, the Balingasag town police arrested a wanted person identified as 28 years old Eric Amatong for violation of the anti-violence against women and children (RA 9262), while policemen in El Salvador City also nabbed Joshua Dangos who is wanted for theft, in Cagayan de Oro City.

Meanwhile, the Balingasag town police arrested Richard Yburan, 23 and Lorenzo Machado, 30, for illegal discharge of firearms and for violation of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) gun ban over the weekend.

The two were nabbed after a concerned citizen reported the incident to the police.

Authoritie­s said the two suspects were security guards from Bukidnon.

Police provincial director Senior Superinten­dent Rolando Destura has commended the different operating units for “a job well done” in the implementa­tion of anticrimin­ality campaign and Comelec gun ban.
