Abundance in the year of the pig

IF THERE’S one thing business owners should do, it’s invest in the year of the Earth Pig.

Let-Let Lumogdang, who sells feng shui charms at a mall in Cebu City, says the year of the Earth Pig brings abundance.

“Abundance kasi marami siyang manganak,” said Lumugdang. (It signifies abundance since the pig gives birth to many).

With this in mind, Lumugdang said it will be a good year to start a business.

She also said it will be a good practice to keep a piggy bank.

“Save money in the piggy bank and invest that money in a business, and that will make the business successful,” she said.

Still, like most feng shui consultants, Lumogdang warned that the advice they give should always be approached with caution.

“Pag-isipan muna bago gawin ang isang bagay (Think before you decide on something),” she said. It was the same advice she gave customers who flocked to her stall.

While the year of the Earth Pig is expected to bring abundance, she warned that one also be careful about spending too much.

Lumugdang said it is important to be careful, since one mistake may affect or cause conflict in the business.

“Kailangan huwag masyadong magtiwala (Don’t be too trusting),” Lumugdang said.

The pig is the 12th animal on the Chinese zodiac.
