Penro generates over P12M in 2018

THE Provincial Environment and Natural Resources (Penro) of Misamis Oriental generated a total income of P12,711,518.82 in 2018, a 319.7 percent increase from the year 2017.

According to engineer Prisco Valmoria of Penro, during a press briefing last Thursday, February 7, at the Provincial Capitol, the large percentage rise of income in 2018 is due to the increase of the extraction fee in the Sand and Gravel.

“Sugod sa April 1, 2018, na implement na nato ang atong bagong Revenue Code. Just imagine, before April 1, atong Sand and Gravel, kanang gitawag nga extraction fee is only P20. Karon, atong giimplement is P40 ug naa tay P5 nga ecosystem fee,” Valmoria said.
