NorMin cagers: Winning Palaro silver is not easy
NORTHERN Mindanao’s little hoopsters failed to duplicate the region’s only gold finish in the national students meet’s elementary basketball some years ago in Tarlac. But winning the Palaro cage silver recently in Davao is not an easy task coach Carlomagno Dagalea and his mighty boys is something to be proud of.
The Northmin Stars Team of Northern Mindanao Regional Athletic Association (NMRAA)-Region 10 has won the silver medal after their championship game against the heftier side of Calabarzon in the 2019 Palarong Pambansa Basketball Elementary Boys in Davao City on May 4, 2019.
“Dili basta-basta maka medal sa Palaro especially in basketball nga very competitive kaayo ang field. We tried our very best sa championship pero dagko tag-as gyod ang Calabarzon team,” coach Dagalea of Corpus Christi School later told Sun.Star Cagayan de Oro.
A single loss in the elimination round had only inspired the mostly CCS Knights-powered NMRAA team to buckle down to work as they summoned all their strength to make it to the finals.
