THE Department of Social Welfare and Development partnered with the Department of Education in the launching of the “Bata Balik, Eskwela” initiative of the Pantawid Pamilyang Program in the province of Misamis Oriental encouraging the not attending school (NAS) children to enroll back to school.

Alcoran said based on their data, the Division of Misamis Oriental has a total of 9,361 NAS/school leavers who are in need of the appropriate intervention and eventually enroll and attend school for school year 2019-2020.
List of schools determined by the Provincial Operations Office (POO) for Misamis Oriental consisted of 28 public schools in Alubijid, Balingasag, Claveria, Initao, Jasaan, Kinoguitan, Laguindingan, Lugait, Magsaysay, Manticao, Medina, Opol, Salay, Talisayan and Villanueva towns.
She also said a memorandum of agreement for the “Ali na! Skwela ta” project as the regional adaptation of the Bata Balik Eskwela has been signed last April 22. The general guidelines of the campaign include the conduct of Family Development Session/Youth Development Session during Brigada Eskwela.
