DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire also said there were 10 additional mortalities that raised the death toll to 1,098.

Of these additional mortalities, Vergeire said only four died in June (3 on June 1 and 1 on June 11) while the rest passed away in the previous months and were reported to the Epidemiology Bureau only in the last 24 hours.

Among the additional confirmed cases, Vergeire said 348 are fresh cases while 142 are late cases.

More than half of the hospital beds and mechanical ventilators set aside for coronavirus disease (Covid-19) patients were still available as of June 14.
