Photoshop Fix

SO Lightroom CC’s latest update messed up the lives of Mac-user photograph­ers around the world. This happened after their release of the 2015.2 update, which came out a day after Apple released their new operating system, El Capitan. I can only imagine the software developers’ faces in Adobe when the net was suddenly flooded with complaints. Heads must have rolled with this catastroph­e.

The timing couldn’t have been worse for Adobe, especially that just weeks before the incident, they presented the new features of Lightroom and the rest of the new products during the Adobe Max conference. After that, the new Lightroom update went nuts. Two days after the release of the bugged Lightroom CC, the developers came up with a fix. It’s not the final fix but your applicatio­n can run with some minor issues. Still annoying but right now, all you can do is wait.

In the latest Adobe Max conference, it was intriguing to see Adobe’s direction when it comes to web and mobile platforms. One particular applicatio­n that caught my attention is Photoshop Fix. Currently, it only runs with the latest iPad Pro and iPhone by Apple. Given the amazing feature that comes with the mobile app, it should require a good processor to run it.

Adobe’s mysterious Project Rigel last year is now ready for shipping. It’s called Photoshop Fix. Apart from the basic editing tools, this mobile app is equipped with fancy tools that we adore in Photoshop. Tools like liquify, dehaze, healing, defocus and vignette are now available in the palm of your hands. Oh, don’t forget the skin smoothing tool that is quite

popular among selfie users.

The liquify tool in Photoshop Fix is no copycat from the desktop version. This one has the intelligen­ce to recognize facial features that helps you make the person frown or smile with ease and believable results. Everything done to the image is nondestruc­tive and can be transferre­d and opened in a regular desktop Photoshop with layers of adjustment.
