Consider these 8 celebrity wedding dresses for inspiration

Celebrities are known to go all out on special events, their own weddings most especially. Lavish set-ups, A-list guests and of course, a breathtaking gown to wear during the actual ceremonies. Since not all of us can afford the exact same wedding dress with a hefty six-figure price tag, let’s take inspiration from them instead. Check out these famous celebrities and their beautiful wedding dresses.

The Duchess of Sussex chose to keep her wedding dress classic and simple. The Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy creation features a boat neck, quarter sleeves and a long, flowing train. The five meter-long veil was adorned with floral hand-embroidery. To add a little sparkle to her rather minimalist gown, Markle wore a diamond and platinum tiara lent to her by the Queen herself.

A destination wedding (in Paris, no less) attended by many famous friends, the KhoBelo nuptials was a star-studded event for sure. But the real star was the bride, of course. Belo tied the knot with Hayden Kho in a blush off-shoulder gown by Michael Cinco, made of French lace with silk thread baroque embroidery with French paillette, pearls and rose opal Swarovski crystals.

Knowles’ sartorial choices have always been bold and striking and she did not disappoint on her wedding day. The ivory Humberto Leon for Kenzo column-style dress had no embellishments but with the long dramatic cape attached, stacked gold bracelets, bold red lip and of course, her gorgeous afro—she was a magnificent vision.

Magalona made sure to stay true to her rocker roots with an unconventional ensemble for her wedding day: a pale pink gown by Sassa Jimenez with a tiered tulle skirt and a silk bodice with rhinestones running along the waist and corset. Although covered by her skirt, her footwear of choice was a pair of YSL booties.

On a regular day, Kim would be all about décolletage but when she tied the knot with Kanye West, she looked refreshing in long sleeves and a high neckline. But in true Kim K fashion, she still looked sultry in a body-hugging white lace gown designed by Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy with strategically placed sheer cutouts that perfectly highlighted her tiny waist, natch.

Okay, this wedding was fictional but it’s definitely worth mentioning. Lily Cruz, the femme fatale lead of TV series Wildflower, walked down the aisle in a stunning black ball gown by Filipino designer Val Taguba, with a bodice and skirt made with French lace and encrusted with Swarovski crystals plus a black veil. The show was known for some crazy moments, this was definitely one of them.

Kerr took inspiration from Grace Kelly’s wedding gown and tapping Maria Grazia Chiuri for Dior to design the dress of her dreams for her wedding with Evan Spiegel of Snapchat. Contrary to the looks she’s sashayed in for Victoria’s Secret, her wedding gown was ultra-conservative and feminine, very princess-like—long sleeves, a high neckline and adorned all over with lilies of the valley appliqués.

Knightley pleasantly surprised everyone with her unusual choice of dress for her wedding day: a strapless, knee-length tulle dress in pale pink topped with a cropped bouclé jacket and finished with flats—all custom-made Chanel, designed by Karl Lagerfeld. And instead of a veil, she wore an elegant flower crown.
