Halloween is that one time of the year when you can dress up as whoever or whatever you want to be. It’s undeniably one of the many reasons Halloween is a well-loved holiday by kids and kids at heart. The sweets and treats are admittedly what makes this season exciting too because who doesn’t want to go home with a bucket of candies and chocolates to munch on? It’s also during this holiday that malls and hotels around town become the most alive – next to Christmas, of course. Halloween activities are in full swing today and in the next few days and it’s never too late to join a party or two that you fancy. Here are five establishm­ents in the Queen City where you can have a hauntingly good Halloween celebratio­n.

Parkmall

It’s a guaranteed spookfest as Parkmall transforms into Monster Town on October 30 for its annual kiddie trick-or-treat party that doubles as a Halloween costume competitio­n. Young ones can expect a free pumpkin, a compliment­ary snap at the photo booth and a loot bag with some snacks at Hunt for Treats for a registrati­on fee of only P100. The pet-friendly mall is also hosting a Petrifying Pawty for fur babies and their owners with a registrati­on fee of P100 as well.

Montebello Villa Hotel

Montebello Villa Hotel promises an adventure of a lifetime with its “Once Upon A Time” Halloween celebratio­n today. It’s no ordinary trick-or-treat party with an exhilarati­ng quest that awaits the kids at the Kingdom of Mystic, the Forbidden Forest, the Mischievou­s Hill, the Enchanted Woodland and the Mermaids’ Lagoon. Other activities for the day include play time, movie time, face painting and arts and crafts. The fairy tale adventure will then be culminated with a magical gala show that features magicians, jugglers, acrobats and stilt walkers. “Once Upon A Time” is priced at P899 per head and is inclusive of a kiddie meal.

Quest Hotel and Conference Center-Cebu

Quest Hotel invites everyone to the Spooky Mansion where the kooky Addams family resides. Kids are welcome to have a boo-tiful and fun time with Gomez, Morticia, Wednesday and Pugsly in their most bizarre Halloween costume. Activities prepared by the Tutoring Club Cebu like goody bag painting, origami, DIY scary pastries and of course, the most-anticipate­d trick-or-treat are sure to keep the youngsters in a happy mood today. For a chance to win tickets to The Addams Family screening at Cebu’s newest cinema IL Corso Cebu, register your kid to the Spooky Mansion for only P500 net per child that’s inclusive of a yummy children’s buffet.

Bluewater Maribago Beach Resort

It’s one great HalloWeeke­nd at Bluewater Maribago Beach Resort with its pirates and mermaids-themed Halloween party for the kids and kids at heart. Kids can bring to life their pirate and mermaid fantasies through this costume party as they dress up in their best attire for a chance to win exciting prizes like special gift certificat­es from Dolpo Kids Club and a lunch or dinner buffet for two adults and two kids. Maribago promises the entire family a day filled with stimulatin­g activities that include a magic show, game booths and trickor-treating with Dolpo and many more activities to look out for, all for P1,700 net per person.

Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan

The little ones are off to an adventure at Crimzone on October 31 as pirates and bandits take over the seas in a pirate-themed trick-or-treat party called “Ship Wrecked.” The shipwreck adventures start off with conquests through games for sweet loots and treasures. Another hair-raising treat is a pirate show that kids will surely love. Other activities also await the little adventurer­s. The best male and female warriors of the seas will win exciting prize from Crimzone too. While the little ones are busy with their fun pursuits, the adults can relish a bewitching Halloween spread at Saffron Cafe priced at P1,945 net per person that’s inclusive of one Halloween cocktail. The special buffet features dishes like the Spooky Shepard’s Pie, Arros Negre, Chili Stuffed Peppers, Vomiting Pumpkin, Halloween Brain Dip and Hot Dog Mummies.

Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino
