Things to do after lockdown

- Text: Christian Jay B. Quilo Writer

Should things go well, we’re only a couple of days away from the end of the enhanced community quarantine and we’re sure everyone is just eager to get out and resume with his normal routine. After more than a month of staying at home, it’s time to say “Hello, everything!” to the outside world again. Here’s a list of 10 things you might want to do post-ECQ.

Family first.

If you live alone or at least not with family, check in on your parents and siblings to see how they are.

Retail relaxation.

Replenish your sacred skin care stash, get a new set of er, ‘better-fitting,’ clothes or stock up on baking ingredients because over the course of a month, you’ve become a MasterChef contender.

Eat’s a date.

The past month proved to be a test of discipline—and cravings, whether that’s for samgyeopsal, milk tea or palm-sized cookies. Where’s the first restaurant you’re going to after the ECQ?

Cocktail o’clock.

Upon the ECQ’s lift, hopefully the liquor ban follows. After that grueling month of home isolation, who doesn’t need a drink? Cheers!

Beach, please.

The sound of the waves, the feeling of sandy feet and the sight of the sun setting on the ocean—any beach baby is probably longing for a potent dose of vitamin sea.

Movie magic.

Netflix proved to be a loyal companion during the ECQ, but there’s nothing quite like watching a movie at the cinemas.

Let’s get physical.

Everyone’s been creative with his home workout but it’s just not the same as going to a real gym with all the equipment at your disposal. It’s time to shed those ECQ pounds and get sweatin’.

Friends: The Reunion.

Give them a tight hug, catch up on the latest tea, but most of all, tell them how exhausting it was to hand-whip Dalgona coffee.

Where to next?

The quarantine put a lot of things on hold, including travel plans. Check travel conditions and try working on that trip you’ve been itching to go on.

Sashay to the salon.

Ugly roots, grown out bangs, busted nails, unwanted leg hair: these beauty boo-boos need to be remedied, stat!
