Sib­lings Ena, a gen­eral physi­cian; Justin, a land­scape ar­chi­tect; and Aira, a li­censed phar­ma­cist, though from dif­fer­ent fields, de­cided to take a shot at open­ing an on­line food busi­ness since they are on quar­an­tine to­gether with no work and much time on their hands. Ac­cord­ing to them, “We’re just three bored sibs who love to cook and eat. So we thought, why not try sell­ing our food?” The very next day, they started post­ing a photo of their Chicken Ar­roz ala Va­len­ciana and Creamy Maja Blanca on their per­sonal In­sta­gram sto­ries to do a sur­vey whether to sell the prod­ucts or not. They had so many pos­i­tive re­ac­tions from their posts and that con­vinced them to try and sell their prod­ucts on­line. All prod­ucts of TheHun­gryChef_ Cebu are home­made and made fresh daily us­ing the finest in­gre­di­ents as they aim to give their cus­tomers a qual­ity ex­pe­ri­ence with their food that’s worth their money. Their best­sellers in­clude gluten-free Paella Ne­gra and Choco But­ter­nut loaf. As the say­ing goes, “When life gives you lemon, make lemonade” and this is ex­actly how the Velasco sib­lings han­dled this cri­sis. They chose to in­no­vate, pre­serve and keep and al­ways look on the bright side.
