Katy freaks out over Russell lookalike

Katy Perry recently had a déjà vu experience that left the Wide Awake singer in tears.

DJ Scott Mills on his BBC Radio 1 show played a prank on Katy and it didn’t sit well with the singer, according to the Huffington Post.

The DJ told The Sun that he brought out a Russell Brand lookalike while Katy was a guest on his afternoon show.

He claims that Katy—who was still married to Russel at the time—left the studio in tears, leaving everyone stunned.

He explained: “Something was up—I couldn’t put my finger on it but she seemed on edge. Anyway, we thought it would be funny to get a Russell Brand lookalike to surprise her.

“Well, she ran out of the room screaming. My producer told me she was in tears in the next room, while I tried to smooth it over with viewers.”

Mills continued: “I had no idea why it freaked her. For all I know they were having marriage problems.

“But she eventually did come back on screen. When there was a break she whispered in my ear, ‘You better play my songs forever!’ Looking back, we were pushing our luck.”

Katy has divorced Brand and has recently split with singer-songwriter John Mayer. Russell is dating Spice Girls star, Geri Halliwell, according to rumors.
