Four schools in Cebu to host four-day event on Nov. 13 to 16

-

THE Bisrock songs that have made their way to mainstream have proven that Cebuano music does have a place in the radio.

However, with the discussions that these songs have aroused from the real identity of the Cebuanos and their music, there has been a challenge to refine the current Cebuano songs that they may better represent the people.

Through the VisPop Songwriting Campaign and Workshop, Cebuano songwriters and aspirants are given the opportunity to hone and further professionalize their skills.

Four schools will host the four-day workshop that will be held on Nov. 13 to 16.

On Nov. 13, the workshop will be held at the College of Architecture and Fine Arts building of the University of San Carlos-Talamban campus from 1 to 5 p.m.

On Nov. 14, the venue of the workshop will be at the Little Theater of the St. Theresa’s College from 8 a.m. until noon.

On Nov. 16 from 1 to 5 p.m., the workshop will be held in the Moot Court of University of Southern Philippines Foundation.

Four renowned Cebuano musicians, namely, Cattski Espina, Ian Zafra, Lorenzo “Insoy” Niñal and Jude Gitamondoc that composed that VisPop Core Group will conduct the workshop.
