Andrins rule Synergy run

LOVELY and Cherry Andrin stamped their class in the women’s division of the 1st Synergy Run, taking the top two spots in the 12K division yesterday.

Lovely got the title in 56:12, just eight seconds ahead of Cherry, while Lucille Mercado got third place in 1:03:49. Marites Baho got fourth place in 1:04, while Hannah Galo was fifth in 1:12.

In the men’s 12K, Jobert Carolino got the title in 41:49, a minute and two seconds ahead of Noel Tillor.

Ronnie Andrin was third in 43:07, more than six minutes clear of fourth placer Eliud Lelei. Paul John Makiling got fifth place in 50:12.

In the 21K division, Bonifacio Monjas overwhelmed the rest of the field to claim the title in 1:14, almost four minutes ahead of second placer Adonis Singson (1:18:15). Joseph Emi got third place in 1:18:58, while Elmer Bartolo was fourth in 1:21:09.

The rest of the top 10 runners are Robert Daan (1:23:15), Moh Sherwin Managil (1:28:58), Joaquin Ortiz (1:32:27), Philip Maloloy-on (1:34:08), Joshua Canada (1:34:40) and Rocel Ortazon (1:39:10).

In the women’s 21K, Cristy Tutor beat Madelyn Carter for the title, crossing the finish line in 1:34:56. Carter got second in 1:38:41, way ahead of third placer Joeyry Lee (1:43:22). Tessie Escasinas was fourth in 1:58:20, while Malou Hermosa got fifth in 2:04:50.

The rest of the top 10 runners are Jessica Perales (2:05:21), Kim Capa (2:05:21), Adelia Villegas (2:15:10), Michelle Mancera (2:17:13) and Marly Busa (2:19:44). ML
