The victim was on his way to his store in Barangay Poblacion when the accident happened at 9:40 p.m.

In another incident, a motorcycle-for-hire driver died after his vehicle crashed when he got distracted by gunfire in Ba- rangay Liburon, Carcar City last Friday night.

The accident happened at 6:25 p.m. while the victim was transporting his passenger Mario Lazarte, 42, to Barangay Can-asujan.

A gunshot jolted Bacatan, who tried to scamper away from the area.

However, he lost control of the vehicle, resulting in a crash.

Bacatan was rushed to Carcar Emergency Hospital but was pronounced dead. His passenger, on the other hand, was unscathed.

During a body inspection, Dr. Cheryl Funo, the attending physician, didn’t find any gunshot wound in the driver’s body.
