Daniel Padilla, an old soul
MANILA—Actor Daniel Padilla is set to further conquer the music scene as he holds his first solo concert at the SmartAraneta Coliseum in Quezon City on April 30.
Dubbed as “Daniel Live: A Birthday Concert,” the event the actor’s way of thanking his fans for their undying support on his self-titled album and his successful TV series, Princess and I.
The 17-year-old said that he will do his best to satisfy his mother network, ABS-CBN, Star Records, and his fans.
“Gagawin ko ang lahat para maging maganda yung kakalabasan ng concert na ito. It’s my way of saying thank you to all the support they have given me,” he said.
Daniel said he picked each song that he will perform during the concert. However, he said fans should not expect a
Justin Bieber type of music as Daniel described himself as an “old soul.”
“Salamat ( sa pag- compare) pero hindi ako nakikinig ng ganoon. Kasi talaga old soul ako, ayaw ko ng ganoong music. Mga luma talaga yung gusto ko pero hindi dahil sa hindi ko gusto. Malayo ako kay Bieber.” His musical influences are that
of the ‘60s to early ‘90s. Daniel
said he’s been listening to
German rock band Scorpions and popular English group The Beatles. Locally, he also likes the music of Ely Buendia and Rico Blanco.
