Welcome to School Year 2013! Easing yourself back to the old school routine may be an extra challenge if you have started getting the hang out of your late breakfasts and overall leisurely pace. With summer over, it is time to hit your new books and campus! Just in time, how about getting new school staples you are bound to love?
COLORED CHINOS
TOPMAN calls the chinos as “the smarter alternative to jeans.” The Urban Dictionary describes chinos as “a pair of khaki pants that tends to fit better than your average pair of Dockers.” Getting Filipino men into this selection of khakis has proven to be a slower process compared to their male counterparts in other countries. It is an acquired taste for many who have grown used to dark denims. Chinos usually come in flamboyant colors, after all. But it is time to move out of the dark (denim) ages and embrace something new in your wardrobe.
FORMAL SHORTS
It is starting to rain and those barely-there shorts will be inappropriate for the nippy weather. Still, you dislike having to wear long pants. What is a girl to do? Go get a pair of formal shorts, or longer shorts. Tailored shorts suit a preppy ensemble.
BACKPACK
A new academic year calls for another backpack where you can dump all your heavy school equipment. Gladly, not all need to be as big as the mountaineering-fit ones. They come in smaller sizes to suit lighter days.
