Petit Bateau brings French fashion to Cebu

-

The French are envied for their chic fashion style. Petit Bateau, a famous clothing brand, is bringing French fashion at its finest. Last May 10, the brand had their grand opening in Ayala Center Cebu.

Petit Bateau, which literally translates to small boat, has been around for 120 years and has set standards and innovations in clothing babies and children starting in France and now around the world.

Petit started with their known petite culotte, an undergarment for children with cut-off legs. The brand is synonymous to the French heritage, especially when most French people look back to growing up with these clothes on. Petit is known for its inventing the terry cloth and their signature milleraies stripes design, which still grace their current clothing lineup.

However, the small boat’s designs aren’t just for the little ones. They also have matching clothes and other items for teens and adults. This makes Petit Bateau a store for everyone of all ages. The brand has also partnered and collaborated with several artists and designers like Karl Lagerfeld, Christian Lac- roix, and Maison Kitsune among others.

The clothing brand first came to the country two years ago. It now has three outlets, two in Manila and one in Cebu.

Hans Clifford Yao, the president of Adrenaline Group of Companies, said that in Cebu the brand is doing very well in the baby section.

The fun atmosphere in the shop also adds to the uniqueness of the brand as it is known for fun and play. Kids can sit and play at the pachinko, fish from the inflatable pool, and draw while parents are shopping for items.

Petite Bateau is located on the third level in the New Wing of Ayala Center Cebu.
