Cite names new trustees
CEBU Landmasters Inc. president Jose Soberano III was once again named chairman of the board of trustees of the Center for Industrial Technology and Enterprise (Cite) for school year 2014-2015 during the annual board meeting held recently. Soberano has served as trustee of Cite since 2005.
Currently, he is a director of Cebu Business Club and former director of Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He was also the past president of Cebu Real Estate and Builders’ Association and Rotary Club of Cebu.
His involvement in foundations, such as Cite, helped him fulfill his dreams of giving back to the community through helping the underprivileged youth achieve their full potentials through technical education.
Also reelected into the board was Os- car Rodriguez, who now serves as Cite president. Rodriguez is a member of the committee on drainage and flood control in Mandaue City. He was, until recently, also the chairman of the board of trustees of Paref Springdale School Inc. and a member of Mandaue City Zoning and Development Board.
Rodriguez was the former dean of the college of engineering of the University of the Visayas. He was also the head of the power marketing and sales department of Visayan Electric Company Inc.
Also elected into office were Rolando Jarantilla as vice president, and David Reyes as treasurer. Other members are Ruben Laraya, Emilio Borja, Col. Alejandro Escaño, Mario King, Jonas Suan and Dr. Efren Valiente. Armand Simeon Millan III was appointed as corporate secretary.
