Stray bullet hits Korean inside convenience store

Kang then felt a pain in his waist; when he checked, he saw he was already wounded
Fuente police said somebody could have fired indiscriminately nearby, although nobody heard a shot
A KOREAN national was wounded after he was hit by a stray bullet while having a drink outside a convenience store on General Maxilom Ave., Cebu City last Saturday.
Taeyang Kang, 21, was hit on his waist. A slug was also found under his chair.
Kang was reportedly sitting outside the 7/11 Mango Branch at 1:40 a.m. Saturday when the incident happened.
He was reportedly with some other Korean friends when Kang felt pain on his waist.
His friends noticed blood on his shirt.
When Kang checked, he noticed he had a wound on his waist.
Police believed Kang was hit by a stray bullet because of the slug found under his chair.
Hospital Kang was brought to the Cebu City Medical Center for treatment.
Fuente Police Chief Wildemar Tiu said they are still investigating the incident.
He said someone may have fired a gun nearby, although no shot was heard.
