A Valentine’s event and a music video
Rosemarie Gaisano proudly told me in a text message last weekend that she has invited Pinoy Big Brother All-in ex-housemate Joshua Garcia for the second grand draw of A Million Thanks raffle promo on Sun., Feb. 15, at the Gaisano Main Food-square.
The date also coincides with the culmination of the one-week Valentine’s Sale of Gaisano Main and Country Mall. Aside from the discounts, shoppers will also get lock hearts, Valentine’s paper bags and the chance to win home appliances and a brand new Mazda car in the aforementioned draw.
Fast-rising Cebuano singing talent Von Saw got a boost of his fledgling yet promising career via the song Sa Akong Heart, which is composed by awardwinning composer Jude Gitamondoc in collaboration with Medyo Maldito and Ronald Ensalada.
The song’s music video, which is conceptualized and managed by Fat-Boys Productions, will be launched online tomorrow, the day of hearts itself. Von has slowly but surely gained a growing local fan base through performances in malls and other venues.
Most of his fans are young ladies who find it hard to get over his good looks and melodious voice. Von is a homegrown talent who has a chance to go big time in no time at all. Redundant? Whatever!
Former Miss Cebu runner-up Ching Pelayo-Dacua invited me to be one of the godfathers of her second offspring, Jarryliana Belle, who was baptized last Saturday, Feb. 7. Unfortunately, I was in Tagaytay City for the second session of the Communicating Health Advocacy Mentorship Program (Champ) of the Global Alliance for Rabies Control.
I’ll dwell on this some other time. This early, Jarryliana Belle is already showing signs that she’ll be following in her mom’s footsteps when the right time comes.
Oh, by the way, the date also marked the birthday of the baby girl’s dad, former Stagecrew keyboardist Jason Dacua. Belated happy birthday, kumpare! Does my awkwardness in enunciating the word show? Haha!
