Busy season for DTCC starts

THE Dancesport Team Cebu City (DTCC) unfolds its busy schedule in its quest to continue its advocacy to promote the sport in Cebu.

The team jumpstarte­d its busy year with the qualifying events for the Philippine National Games (PNG) 2015 and the regional Prisaa/Cesafi Dancesport­s competitio­n last Sunday and Monday.

The team will then be preparing for the first quarterly ranking and national competitio­n organized by the Dance Sport Council of the Philippine­s Inc. (DSCPI) that will be held on March 14 at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Malate, Manila.

The team also looks to organize the Dance Camp Cebu 2015 from April 9-12 at the Mountain View Nature Park in Barangay Busay.

The Free Dancesport Summer Workshop on April 1 to May 24 which will be held at various public schools in Cebu City, such as Barrio Luz Elementary School, Inayawan, Lahug, San Nicolas, Mabolo, Labangon, Hippodromo, Tejero Night School, Apas, Punta Princesa, Pardo, Don Vicente Rama Memorial Elementary School, Mambaling, Zapatera, Cebu City Central School and the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC).

Dance athletes who have qualified will compete in the POC-PSC National Games on May 26 to June 1 in Manila, while the culminatio­n of the Dancesport Summer Workshop will be held on June 7 at the CCSC badminton court.

On June 16, DTCC will continue its promotion to the barangay level by holding the first leg of the 3rd season of the Dance Sport Barangay Competitio­n Circuit 2014 at the CCSI-San Nicolas Sports Complex, the DSCPI the midyear ranking and competitio­n at the Philsports Arena, Meralco Ave., Pasig City on July 19.
