Radisson Blu Cebu's Nishan Silva is Manager of the Year
Carlson Rezidor celebrated the achievements of its 2014 top-performing Asia Pacific employees and hotels at a gala awards dinner last February 5, 2015, and Radisson Blu Cebu’s very own general manager Nishan Silva took home the Manager of the Year award, which recognizes excellent leadership and ability to drive performance and guest satisfaction.
Nishan Silva has strengthened the positioning of the hotel and its revenue performance, and has been the driving force behind creative marketing concepts, increased brand awareness and business wins involving some of the leading MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) conferences in Asia Pacific. He has also delivered on talent development, actively supported Responsible Business activities, and worked hand in hand with the tourism council to promote Cebu.
With this recognition, Nishan Silva, together with his dedicated Radisson Blu Cebu team, remains committed in giving outstanding service to their patrons, upholding their philosophy to simply be the best. Radisson Blu Cebu was also recently presented the Sustainable Hotel Award for Sustainable Operations by the Hotel Investment Conference Asia Pacific (HICAP), an international award-giving body considered to be the biggest annual gathering for Asia Pacific’s hotel investment community.
Attended by hotel owners, senior executives, and general managers, the gala awards dinner was one of the highlights of Carlson Rezidor’s annual Asia Pacific Business Conference, held at Radisson Blu Plaza Chongqing in China. Thorsten Kirschke, president for Carlson Rezidor Asia Pacific, congratulated all the winners and applauded them for their inspiring achievements, emphasizing that they are the backbone of Carlson Rezidor, as they continue to work towards the goal of having 200 hotels in operation across Asia Pacific by the year 2020.
