Judy Ann on Piolo: We’re friends
MANILA—Judy Ann Santos said she’s friends with her former leading man Piolo Pascual and open to doing a reunion project with the Kapamilya actor.
Pascual surprised showbiz fans on Sunday when he posted a photo with Santos, which was taken at the backstage of weekend concert program ASAP 20.
The actor credited Santos for giving him his biggest break in show business and articulated his desire to work again with the actress.
“So great to see the person that gave me my biggest break in showbiz... I’ll always be indebted to your kindness... Congrats on another blessing ;) Sana makawork
kita uli @officialjuday,” he wrote. In a Bandila interview aired on Wednesday evening, Santos revealed that her meeting with Pascual was “nothing new.”
Unknown to many, the two crossed paths in showbiz and nonshowbiz events.
“Nagkikita naman kami ni PJ [Pascual]. Hindi lang nakikita ng mga
tao. We see each other. There was a time in Cebu na nag Iron Man sila ni Ryan (Agoncillo) and nag chikahan
naman kami,” she said. Santos believes the photo garnered public interest as it’s the first time that it was uploaded on social media. But the actress said she’s happy Pascual shared the image for everyone to see.
“Hindi lang siya napo- post. Hindi lang siya nachi-chika, but we’re friends. Nagkataon lang na yun ang
publicly na nakita sa ABS[-CBN] or sa kung saan sa hallway kasi nasa ASAP kami pareho. But it was nothing new.” Santos also expressed interest in working again with Pascual. “For a movie, palagi ko naman
sinasagot yan. If it happens, it happens, with the right time and the right project. Wala namang imposible,
di ba?” she said. Santos is taking a break from acting as she’s 11 weeks pregnant. She recently launched her cookbook and returned to culinary school.
“May mga few units pa akong natitira and gusto ko talagang grumaduate. Nakakatuwa na
matatapos ko na siya,” she said. Pascual, on the other hand, is busy promoting his upcoming movie with Sarah Geronimo, The Breakup
Playlist, which will grace theaters nationwide starting July 1.
