CTU gets information portal from Dole
THE Cebu Technological University (CTU)main campus received a job search kiosk from the Department of Labor and Employment (Dole) 7 in a ceremony last Aug. 24 at the school’s Roco Hall.
The ceremony was attended by the CTU key officials headed by the university president Dr. Rosein A. Ancheta Jr. and Dole 7 Director Exequiel Sarcauga.
Engr. Januario Flores Jr., main campus director thanked Dole 7 for the kiosk, which will be installed at the lobby of its Public Employment Service Office at the university main campus.
Flores said the kiosk will greatly help in looking for a job not just for the students and graduates of CTU but also for other jobseekers who will visit the university.
The event was highlighted by the turnover of the key and the ribbon-cutting led by Ancheta and Sarcauga, assisted by Dr. Delos Reyes, dean of the College of Education; Dr. Vicente J. Igot, dean of the Student Affairs Office; and Flores.
A signing of a memorandum of understanding between the CTU and Dole 7 then followed.
The job search kiosk is an information portal designed by Dole to provide information on employment and livelihood opportunities to the public for free. It also offers information on services of Dole attached agencies like the Commission on Higher Education, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Professional Regulation Commission, Philippine Overseas Employment Administration, and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, which gives assistance to job/livelihood seekers, employers and those who want career advancement.
