UC-HRM hosts junior hoteliers’ congress

THE events management class of the College of Hotel and Restaurant Management- University of Cebu (UC) will hold the Junior Hoteliers’ Congress 2015, with the theme, “Hospitality Management Collaborating for APEC community in the Modern Milieu.”
It will be held today, Oct. 9, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Cebu Business Hotel.
Topics to be discussed include employment opportunities of aspirant hoteliers; restaurant adaptation on the advent of ASEAN’s diverse culture; preparedness of airport operations, facilities and services; and tourism gender and development with basic concepts of sexual orientation, gender identity and expression.
The event aims to provide a comprehensive understanding on how the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) affects and benefits the future of the hospitality industry, to shed light on the topics to be discussed by the speakers from the different sectors related to APEC and to establish camaraderie among different schools.
It is open to all hospitality management students from the different colleges and universities in Metro Cebu and Cebu Province.
