Laguna NP forms alliance with LP
CALAMBA—Laguna Gov. Ramil Hernandez, who is provincial chairman of the Nationalista Party (NP), and 12 Laguna mayors have formed a local alliance with the Liberal Party (LP) to support the continuity of “Daang Matuwid” (Straight Path) principle in the 2016 polls.
During the NP oath-taking ceremony in Calamba, Laguna yesterday, Hernandez join administration presidential standard bearer Mar Roxas and Las Piñas Rep. Mark Villar in a collective vow to support the reforms spearheaded by President Benigno C. Aquino III.
Hernandez, together with the majority of the incumbent local officials of Laguna, expressed his support for Roxas’ presidential bid.
The LP has formed in Laguna the ‘Koalisyon of Daang Matuwid,’ to unite the province’s local political leaders under the straight path. Roxas has openly welcomed groups with sincere commitment to the principles of Daang Matuwid such as good governance, transparency and leadership competence.
