Cebu's premiere wine shop, Bibendum Wines, continues to bring the world to Cebu as it introduces 112 new wines from different wine regions across the globe.

Whether one is a serious aficionado or simply in need of some everyday wines, Bibendum carries a wide range of wines from the best value-for-money labels to the most premium chateaus.

In addition to 13 new wines from Portugal, four from the US, five from Italy and six from North Africa, Bibendum now offers 84 new wines from France. Among these, majority are from Bordeaux with 18 from St. Emilion, seven from Margaux, two from Pauillac and one from St. Julien.

Also, two French wines are from the Loire Valley, five from Burgundy, four from Alsace and 11 from the South of France.

For only P780, people can enjoy the simple and easy to drink Chateau Marjosse Blanc 2010. This Bordeaux wine has fresh red berries and spices perfect for a quiet evening with friends over dinner.

The Chateau Cambon La Pelouse Rouge 2012 is a lovely Merlot marked by red and black fruits that linger in the palate. This wine won the bronze in the 2014 Concours des Grands Vins de France Macon, one of France's longest-established and prestigious wine competitions.

For a more complex taste, a bottle of Chateau Tauzinat L'Hermitage 2010 has a good amount of herbs, red currant, plum, eucalyptus and tobacco spice. It is a recipient of a silver medal in the International Wine Challenge in 2013.

Another complex wine is the Chateau La Tour De Bessan 2011. Dubbed by the prestigious magazine The Wine Advocate, as having one of the best bouquets, this red wine boasts of red cherry and raspberry with forest floor and cigar box scents.

Robert Parker of The Wine Advocate said, “It has good presence and persistency towards the finish. This eclipses my expectations. Excellent.”
