P10 to access a white-sand beach? That’s still doable in Aloguinsan

-

BOJO River is not the only tourism attraction in Aloguinsan town.

One other attraction, which has been visited by a number of tourists, is Hidden Beach Resort, located about two kilometers from Barangay Poblacion.

Since the resort is “hidden,” no improvements have been made in the area. Visitors just go to experience its natural beauty.

Aloguinsan is located about 59 kilometers southwest of Cebu City.

The municipality became popular because of Bojo River, the town’s main ecotourism attraction.

The Hidden Beach Resort has been open for a while now, but many are still not familiar with the new attraction.

As its name implies, the beach resort cannot be seen from the highway. Guests have to pass through a plantation of coconuts and other trees.

They’ll know that they are already at the resort when they see the coral rocks that hide the beach. Aside from the whitesand beach and crystal clear water, visitors will also get to see several sea creatures like crabs, shellfish, starfish and sea urchins on the shoreline.

With the kind of scenery and natural beauty to be enjoyed at the Hidden Beach Resort, the entrance fee can be quite a surprise for city dwellers.

Visitors need to shell out only P10 per person to enter the resort, and they can bring their own food and drinks at no extra cost.

A grilling station is also available.

Cottages, tables and chairs are also available for rent for P150 to P300.

If visitors want to stay overnight, the resort has rooms for guests for a minimal fee.

Those who plan to go to the Hidden Beach Resort this semestral break or during the holidays can reach the area by taking a bus from the Cebu South Bus Terminal going to Aloguinsan. Hidden Beach Resort is an ideal destination for families or groups of friends who want to take a break from the city life.
