Fooda opens Freshmart
After a year of planning, Fooda Saversmart Corp. opened the newest convenience store in town— Freshmart. It is a modern take on a carenderia and a sari-sari store rolled into one.
The 200-square-meter store has hot food and grocery choices that are not typically offered in most corner shops or mini markets.
Its “insta rice” meals have a variety of toppings to choose from— vegetable kare-kare, pork ala pobre, humba and bicol express, just to name a few. Meal prices range from P35 to P65, proof that good quality doesn't always mean expensive.
A la mode
The store also has a do-it-yourself brownie a la mode, which means that customers heat the brownie themselves using the microwave oven and top it with all-you-can-swirl soft-serve ice cream.
Freshmart also serves pastas, salads, sandwiches and other desserts all wrapped in its signature packaging. One can choose from lasagna, sausage-cream pasta, Caesar salad, Thousand Island salad and macaroni salad, among many others.
The store also sells cup noodles, canned goods, soft drinks, toiletries, slushes and fresh fruits.
Starting Oct. 8 until this Friday, customers can get free ice cream for three days. One only needs a P20 single-receipt purchase.
“We want customers to experience something new here at Freshmart,” said Raphael Ngochua, Fooda Saversmart Corp. marketing manager.
Freshmart is open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and is located on V. Urgello St. corner J. Urgello St., Sambag 2, Cebu City.
