CUATRO ALIÑOS.
Talisay City College (TCC) officials and students posed in front of the monument of the Cuatro Aliños during the advanced commemoration in their honor last March 17. The brave heroes were brothers Potenciano, Hilario, Felix and Sulpicio Aliño. The commemoration of the heroism of the four Talisaynons has been institutionalized by the Talisay City Government to be celebrated every April 2. The TCC officials and students celebrated it in advance because of the first local history exhibit spearheaded by the second year students of Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in social science, with the theme, “Bililhong Kasaysayan, Garbo sa Lalawigan ug Dakbayan.” The Cuatro Aliños were known for their indispensable contribution in leading the revolt against the Spaniards in Talisay City by attacking the guardia civil of Talisay on April 2, 1898.
