Arrested drug suspect wants to stay in jail

Junrex Labrador has been arrested with P6T shabu, P700 cash

-

BEING in prison is safer than staying outside, a drug personality said.

Junrex Labrador, 21, of Sitio Mangga in Barangay Punta Princesa, Cebu City said he was scared to go out of jail because Mayor-elect Tomas Osmeña and President- elect Rodrigo Duterte might order the authorities to kill him.

Labrador was caught in a buy-bust at 3 p.m. last Wednesday by operatives of the Punta Princesa Po- lice Station.

He was also arrested for a drug-related offense by members from the same police precincts last year. He is out on bail.

Police placed Labrador under surveillance for one week before the operation was conducted.

He is reportedly a level three drug pusher, which means that he can dispose of at least 200 grams of shabu per week.

In a Balitang Bisdak report, Labrador alleg- edly admitted that he sells drugs but it was only a small business.

Recovered from Labrador were 28 small packs of shabu worth P6,000, three P100 bills used in the buy-bust and P700 cash believed to be proceeds from his alleged illegal drug trade.

Meanwhile, members of Talamban Police Station also arrested Paul “Dodot” Gerona, 30, from Proper Pit-os.

Police said Gerona sells shabu to habal- habal drivers in the area. These habal-habal drivers serves as the Gerona’s lookout against police operatives.

Recovered from the suspect were 30 pieces of small packs of shabu and the P200 used in the buy-bust.

The suspects will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
