Calayan Medical Group goes beyond beauty

-

The Calayan Medical Group champions the adage “Real beauty comes from within.” It believes that a woman's body is more than just what people see on the outside. It is more than anything, a reflection of her soul.

Headed by the family matriarch, Dr. Josefina Calayan, the eponymous beauty and wellness clinic opened its Cebu branch last year in Oakridge Business Park on A.S. Fortuna St., Mandaue City.

Spanning three generations of passionate doc- tors, the Calayan Medical Group continues to help Cebuanos look and feel beautiful from the outside to the inside.

"I've raised my children and grandchildren with all my heart and soul. I've inspired them to love one another and help each other. I keep telling them that love begins at home and so does charity," said Calayan, who started the Calayan name in business along with her late husband Dr. Emeterio Calayan Jr.

The Calayan Hospital, which the couple first opened in Quezon province in the 1960s, was meant to inspire their children to become doctors. This venture was followed by the opening of a school, the Calayan Educational Foundation, which the family has been running since the ‘70s.

For them, it's not just about practicing their craft and sharing their expertise but rendering service to others as well. Their commitment did not stop there as they later on opened aesthetics clinics with the mission to help men and women feel more confi- dent about themselves.

The Calayan Medical Group is managed by the family together with a team of board certified surgeons, highly trained doctors and certified aestheticians who are all experts in their fields. The family also works with their loving and skilled Cebuano staff and personnel. Their services—from laser and dermatological treatments to reconstructive and aesthetic surgeries—are available seven days a week. Cassandra C. Poculan
